5:00 P.M.-5:45 P.M.: A SPECIAL PERFORMANCE BY ETHEL
Enjoy world-renowned string quartet, ETHEL, and award-winning composer Dr. Ching-chu Hu, Professor of Music and Director of the Vail Series at Denison University, as they bring history to life for the holi- days. Music can do many things - it can move us, unite us, and inspire us. Music can also help us remember the important events in our lives and communities.
Join us for this inspiring musical showcase of history, and learn about a new project to commemorate Granville icon "Trig" Gamble through the community-supported F. Trevor Gamble Legacy Symphony.
ETHEL is comprised of Ralph Farris (viola), Dorothy Lawson (cello), Kip Jones (violin), and Corin Lee (violin). At the heart of ETHEL is a quest for a common creative expression that is forged in the celebration of community. As cultural and musical "pollinators," the quartet brings its collaborative discoveries to audiences through multi-dimensional musical repertoire and community engagement.
Made possible by a grant from the Granville Arts Commission.
