On the morning of Oct. 16, the Licking County Historical Alliance will be hosting "The Earthworks, World Heritage, and the Future," a lecture by renowned archaeologist Brad Lepper.
This is not sponsored by the Granville Historical Society, but we think it will be of interest to our members!
Brad Lepper is the curator of archaeology at the Ohio History Connection and an expert on Newark’s Hopewell Octagon Earthworks. He will discuss efforts to secure World Heritage status for the site as well.
WHEN: Wednesday, Oct. 16, at 8:30 a.m. (breakfast will be served)
WHERE: The Works, 55 S. 1st St., Newark, OH
This is free and open to the public, but reservations are recommended. For more information, please contact Janet Procida at jpprocida@gmail.com or (804) 400-0370.
