Veteran's Day 2016 will be observed at 1 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 11, in Swasey Chapel on Denison's campus.

Andrew Sterrett, Denison Professor Emeritus, will be presented with France's highest award, the Legion d' Honneur, for his battlefield valor and sacrifice during the campaign to liberate France from Nazi occupation during World War II. Granville area World War II veterans also will be recognized for their service to country and their post-war contributions to the community.

Speakers will include Denison President Adam Weinberg, French Consul Anne Cappel, and Granville Mayor Melissa Hartfield. A reception will follow at Middleton Senior Living, 1500 Weaver Drive, Granville. All are welcome.
